Kimberly's Headshots

September 13, 2017

As a photographer it is equal parts difficult to be in front of the camera and exciting to get to dress up for a shoot. Taking a little evening trip to a local nature preserve to exchange headshots with my new photographer buddy Kimberly was a blast! It was filled with giggles, stories, and learning a little bit from each other. She is as talented as she is gorgeous and I thought it would be appropriate to feature her and tell you a little about what she has going on.

Kimberly is still relatively new to the photography scene but that isn't stopping her from jumping in with both feet. She has a passion you can see when she speaks about her business and I can see her light up when she explains how much living a creative life has done for her. She recently tied the knot and moved back to DFW from Oklahoma with her husband Michael (who works in hospitality for a local church). I would personally describe her style as lifestyle, unposed as often as possible, with a mix of moody and boho chic. You will find more motion and laughter than stiff smiles in her work. She is a self described flower child with a love for scrunchies and reading. We have bonded over Mexican food (the most important kind of bonding), business books we obsess over, tea, and our thrifty ways of living. I know this girl is going to do great things chasing her passion, living God's will, and kicking butt in the process. Definitely check Kimberly out if you are looking for a departure from the ordinary or if you love me (you probably should) but look for a different feel from your sessions. I love how distinctly different our styles are, yet how well we work together. Her new website is up, you can also find her on Facebook, and she has a lot of new work frequently posted!
