Executive Women's Conference 2017

October 18, 2017

My favorite corporate event of the year is Digital Risk's Executive Women's conference in gorgeous California wine country (luckily before all the terrible fires broke out). It is a conference filled with wonderful women, amazing speakers, unique experiences, and lots of California wine! I am beyond inspired by the successful women in attendance from the financial and real estate fields there to represent women of business who have conquered their fields for their own success and to encourage other girls to kick butt! The mixture of speakers from creatives that make me want to tackle my photography endeavors all the more, panels discussing women in the workplace and representation of social sects, as well as how millenials fit into the workplace of the future made it hard to do my job because I wanted to write notes and really tune in to what the keynote speakers had to say. I received a few books, more than a few glasses of excellent wine, and experiences I will never forget. We brunched, rode in hot air balloons (must see below!), took in the gorgeous views, and made new connections. Plus, all the fashionable and fabulous ladies made it hard to pick favorites for this post!

This whole group of women made me feel as if I was an attendee instead of a vendor and gave me career advice, wonderful conversation, and business cards to keep in touch with my new connections/friends. It is hard to explain exactly why this conference has such a lasting effect on me throughout the year, but the inspiration and feeling of being enough because of what this diverse group of powerhouse females represent make me want to put on a super hero cape (or a red bath towel) and run around my apartment ready to take on the world and show everyone what I am made of.

I want to say thank you again for Digital Risk and Dexter Howard Events for allowing me to participate in this conference for the second year. I will keep my fingers crossed to be included again in 2018 and have several books to keep me busy in the mean time!
